Feeling Happy!

Well I had my very nervous visit to the gynae oncologist yesterday and it was so much better than I had been anticipating! Once again I got to deal with the lovely Dr Byony Simcock who really is just the best!
I need to have the cyst removed (it's not cancer YAY!) so I will be off to hospital in about six months time to have a cystectomy & my tubes tied at the same time.
So i'm feeling so much happier today...no more living in limbo wondering what's going to happen.
After we got the good news we did abit of shopping and I found knitworld...got some lovely but could have spent a fortune!
We checked out the malls but I'm not a fan of those places.....I get so disorientated! And then we were off back to the coast again!

On the Countdown

Well I have to say this week I am starting feel a bit on the nervous side. I am off to Christchurch next Wednesday to see the gynae-oncologist about a cyst on my right ovary.

This is the second time I have had to deal with something like this unfortunately. When I was pregnant with my second child I was diagnosed (at my 12 week scan) with a cyst on left ovary which was only 2cm so my obstetrician told me it was nothing to worry about. But within 6 weeks it grew to 10cm...which caused alot of stress as well as pain. I ended having an MRI which while pregnant is awful and being told the worst outcome which was very scary when I had a 2 year old and a newborn on the way.
When I cooper I had no choice but to have a c-section as the cyst was blocking his way out and I had to have the cyst & my left ovary removed.

I was very lucky that there was no malignancy but now I am faced with this problem again. This time the cyst is only 3cm but the problem is if they remove the cyst & damage my ovary or have to remove that as well I will be looking at going through menopause at 27....not my dream come true.

So I am keeping myself very busy trying not to think of all the possible outcomes....let alone having six weeks of no lifting with 2 little monsters.

But I just have to be brave and I will be definitely be having a wine and some chocolate.
