Another Celebration!

It is hard to believe that my Biggest Monster turned 4 two weeks ago.....it didn't seem that long ago that I was waddling around like a whale with her...putting on 20kg made me feel enormous!

This year we decided to have a family lunch...which sounds nice & small but luckily we have 6 little cousins in 1 household which makes a kids party! I love to do a special cake each year for the kids so came up with this cute rainbowcake (clouds are marshmallows) it is also a marble cake inside (pink, purple & yellow). My monster loved her day & gifts especially her scooter which has been telling us she needs for the last few months.

I was very lucky to have Mother's Day with my little monsters birthday....I got a bookcase...which I had bought from the opshop ages ago & had never got around to painting.....My lovely man sanded, painted & helped the kids put their mark on it. I have to say it was the best present ever!

Felt Gift Guide ~Mothers Day~

With Mothers Day on Sunday I have picked out what I would love! All from the excellent people of Felt.

Back on track....

I know it's been a while but I'm finally almost back to 100%.

I went off to Christchurch on the 18th April to have my operation. Leaving my two little monsters behind....I am sure I cried more than they did. Luckily enough for me I was able to stop in at the Stash Rehash before I had to be at hospital so I got a little bit of shopping which was great fun.

The surgery went relatively smooth I had a dermoid cyst removed from my ovary...But I also had a fluid filled cyst that had haemorraghed at some stage and when it had healed it had fused my ovary to the side of my pelvis...so they had to separate my ovary from my pelvis too. No wonder I was always uncomfortable.....I don't feel like such a whinger now!

I had thought I would go back to our accommodation after my op but was in no shape so had to stay another night in hospital.

We come the next day....I'm sure it was the most careful driving my partner John has ever done over the pass!

It was great to get home to my little monsters. Sophie brought out 'Frankie' her favourite teddy and tucked him up with me "because he will help me get better" which was so sweet.

I spent the first week at home in my pjs feeling alot worse than I had expected but it is just over two weeks now and I am almost back to normal.

So no more trips to hospital for me! It's time to have fun & enjoy my family!
